Thank you for posting the entire video, Bill. I wanted to watch it Sunday but I couldn't make it back in time. I don't think Katie Couric ever really put General Petraeus on the spot. She asked him some important and difficult questions but the General had an intelligent, well thought response to each one. I think I told you before but we are going back to the Logar and Wardak Valley provence next month and while its true the fighting is heating up. I feel much safer know the greatest living General is going to be the supreme military commander in the AF-PAK conflict. The mountains, hill and valleys of the eastern Afghanistan is exactly what a light infantry, mountain warfare unit like the 10th Mountain excels at. This will be my third trip to that wonderful corner of God's paradise. The only part of the video that disappointed me was when General Petraeus admitted that accepting only partial victory in Afghanistan would be acceptable. To me thats bullshit, I have lost to many brothers and split my own blood on that dung colored sand to simply pack up and call it a tie. Besides my orders have me in Afghanistan until Dec/2012. Believe me, I want an end to this conflict and for Afghanistan to be able to live free and in peace. But in order to accomplish that they need our help. Also, the current political climate in Pakistan represents a true threat to our national security if Pakistan nuclear weapons end up in the wrong hands...............Bill, once again an amazing video.
